Andy Reese is an engineer, a lay theologian, and a storyteller with the heart of a pastor. A lifelong follower of God, Andy’s central message is simple and enduring: God is practical, powerful, and personal. He is Abba, a loving Father who meets us with grace and help in every moment of life.

Andy’s work flows from a lifelong journey of helping people experience freedom, discover their God-given identity, and live with joy and purpose. He is co-founder of Freedom Prayer, a ministry now used in churches across more than 20 countries, and author of Freedom Tools and The Spiritual Gifts Blueprint, which guide people from inner healing into clarity of purpose.

His writing spans both nonfiction and fiction, unified by a desire to help people grow in awareness of God’s presence and live from their true identity. His current projects include Overcoming, Growing Up on Purpose, and two fiction works: The Five Kings, a historical novel set in the 1940s, and Dream Space, a science fiction story exploring identity, time, and meaning. He also continues his long-running Bleats reflections, daily meditations on life with God.

In this season of life, Andy is especially focused on sharing the wisdom of decades with the next generation, passing on what it means to live in relationship with God as Abba and walk in the fullness of identity and purpose.

Andy and his wife live in Nashville, Tennessee, and are the parents of four adult children.
